Movie Use Rapped at M. E. Conference

Iowa, 1921

STORM LAKE, Oct. 1.—Dr. Titus Lowe of Omaha in the opening address of the northwest Iowa conference of the Methodist Episcopal church rapped the use of movies by pastors instead of the preacher's word and roused the conference to enthusiastic applause when he denounced "Fatty" Arbuckle, and other movie actors whom he classed immoral. He attacked Mary Pickford, also. He upheld the power of the pulpit as the greatest force.
